Hot wiring a Toyota transmission to first gear should give two effects, one is on the transmissions that normally start off in 2nd gear, it will actually start off in 1st instead, and the other is it shouldn't shift out of 1st gear. That means you don't need to adjust the kick down transmission cable tighter to prevent the up shift, running it stock would be ideal on the vehicles with the trans cable on the throttle body.
