Derby Modded Computer

Stock computer that is physically modified for demo derby use. Target is to prevent limp modes and running issues when hot. Transmission wise it either doesn't do anything with the trans (stock trans limp mode), or it hot wires the trans for 1st and reverse.

Immo - Engine Immobilizer

This is the system that requires the code from the key to allow the engine to run. Some brands tie other components as part of this system such as ignition switch on some GM's, Radio, Gauge Cluster, Body Control Module, etc.

Power Harness

This is a power adapter that plugs into the stock engine harness to make the ignition system work. Often times fuel pump and starter are required to be hot wired. With this harness, no other wiring is required on the car which includes removing fuse boxes, dash wiring and similar items. Another viewpoint is the power harness converts a stock engine harness into a cheap stand alone harness.

Stand Alone Harness

This harness is designed to replace the stock engine harness and the "stand alone" section is because it's the only harness required to make the vehicle run. Starter and Fuel pump might be required to be hot wired to make the vehicle run.

Wire Colors

Wire colors are always in the format of primary color/secondary color (stripe). For example Green/White is a green wire with a white stripe. Any dots or dashes on wire is unrelated to identification, those are just from the manufacturing process.
